INDUSTRY, CHOISEUL – A violent Choiseul Chopping Attack has left four family members, including a 5-year-old boy, seriously injured. The brutal assault, which took place late Friday night inside the victims’ home, has shaken the quiet community of Industry and raised fresh concerns over escalating violence in Saint Lucia.
According to Loop News, the attacker, armed with a machete, barged into the home after 9 p.m. and launched a relentless assault on the family. The victims— a 62-year-old man, two women aged 18 and 54, and a young child— all sustained multiple injuries. They were rushed to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

A family member who was not present during the attack but lives in the house spoke to Loop News, recalling the gruesome aftermath. He revealed that his 5-year-old nephew’s hand was nearly severed, while his mother lost a finger in the attack.
“My father’s hand was also injured, and all my family members were chopped multiple times. When I entered the house, there was blood everywhere—on the floor, on the walls. I kept slipping in it while trying to make sure everyone was still alive.”
The distraught relative, overcome with emotion, is now pleading for justice.
