The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force confirmed on Tuesday morning that the male suspect was located near a beach and taken into custody.
Authorities say the suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was wanted in connection with the March 20 homicide of 74-year-old Ken Joseph Ismael, a farmer and fisherman from La Pointe, Choiseul.
Following his arrest, the suspect was transferred to the Soufriere Police Station, where he is reportedly cooperating with investigators. Law enforcement has not yet released additional information regarding the circumstances of the arrest or any potential charges.
