Police identify 35-year-old Neil Peter as the Morne Serpent homicide victim, marking St Lucia’s 67th killing of 2025
CASTRIES, St Lucia — The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has identified the Morne Serpent homicide victim as 35-year-old Neil Peter, a resident of the Gros Islet community, marking St Lucia’s 67th homicide of 2025.
According to a police statement, officers from the Gros Islet Police Station and the Major Crimes Unit responded to a report of a shooting around 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Upon arrival, they found the motionless body of a male individual at Morne Serpent. A medical practitioner later pronounced him dead at the scene.
The deceased has since been identified as Neil Peter of Morne Serpent. Investigators have not yet disclosed further information about the circumstances surrounding his death, but the investigation remains ongoing.
