Police Probe George V Park Homicide After Body Found Motionless in Castries Park at Midnight
Castries, Saint Lucia – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into the George V Park Homicide after a lifeless body was discovered in the popular Castries park early Tuesday morning. The incident, which marks Saint Lucia’s 77th homicide for 2024, has sparked renewed concerns over public safety.
According to the RSLPF, officers from the Criminal Investigations Department responded to a report at approximately 12:12 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024. Upon arrival, police discovered a male victim lying motionless with a visible laceration to his face.
The victim was transported to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
