CASTRIES, St Lucia — St Lucia weather August 26 2025 brought partly cloudy and hazy conditions across the island Tuesday, with forecasters reporting a mix of sunshine, humidity, and light to moderate showers expected over the next 24 hours.
Temperatures, winds, and rainfall
At noon, the Hewanorra International Airport recorded a temperature of 30°C (86°F) with relative humidity of 76 percent, according to forecaster Emmanuel Descartes. Winds were observed from the east-southeast at 16 miles per hour (26 km/h).
Last night’s minimum temperature at Hewanorra was 27°C (81°F). Rainfall in the 24-hour period ending at 8 a.m. measured 9.3 millimeters, contributing to a total of 79.1 millimeters for the month at Hewanorra and 72.3 millimeters at George F.L. Charles Airport.
Sunset is expected at 6:19 p.m., with sunrise on Wednesday at 5:51 a.m.
Local forecast for the next 24 hours
Forecasters predict fair to partly cloudy skies with a few light to moderate showers. Winds will continue from the east to east-southeast at near 18 miles per hour (30 km/h), maintaining warm but breezy conditions throughout the day.

Marine forecast warns of rough seas
Seas around St Lucia are expected to be moderate to locally rough, with waves and northeasterly swells ranging from 4 to 7 feet (1.5 to 2.1 meters).
Tide schedules indicate Castries Harbour will experience a high tide at 5:30 p.m. and a low at 11:40 p.m., while Vieux Fort Bay will record a low at 12:45 p.m. followed by a high at 6:37 p.m.
The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services cautioned small craft operators and sea bathers to exercise vigilance due to above-normal seas.
Regional and tropical weather outlook
Across the Lesser Antilles, skies will be fair to partly cloudy with widely scattered showers.
In the wider tropical outlook, light to moderate easterly winds will dominate the Eastern Caribbean, accompanied by fair skies and occasional showers.
A tropical wave is forecast to approach the region late Wednesday, moving westward at 17 miles per hour (28 km/h). However, forecasters said it is not expected to bring any significant weather. A second tropical wave, currently over the eastern Tropical Atlantic, is also progressing westward at the same pace.
The Saint Lucia Meteorological Services confirmed that no tropical cyclone development is anticipated in the next seven days.
