Authorities Appeal for Information in Vincentian National Shooting on Water Works Road

Castries, Saint Lucia – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into the Vincentian National Shooting that occurred late Sunday night on Water Works Road. The incident left a Vincentian national with a gunshot wound to the leg, further raising concerns about violent crime on the island.

According to reports, the shooting took place around 11:45 p.m. on December 8, 2024, just hours after the fatal shooting of 43-year-old Vernon “Fat Dog” Auguste in the same area. Police say the injured man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was discovered with a gunshot wound and was transported to a medical facility for treatment. The extent of his injuries and his current condition remain undisclosed.

Ongoing Investigation

Law enforcement officials have not yet identified any suspects or motives in the Vincentian National Shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770 or 456-3817. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via the Crime Hotline at 555 or through the RSLPF Crime Hotline Application, available on the Google Play Store.

The RSLPF has confirmed that investigations into the Vincentian National Shooting are ongoing.
