Police Operation Saint Lucia resulted in multiple arrests for drug-related offenses in La Clery, Babonneau, and Marchand.

Castries, Saint Lucia – A Joint Police Operation in Saint Lucia Netted Multiple Arrests in La Clery, Babonneau, and Marchand. In a coordinated effort to combat escalating criminal activities, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) carried out a sweeping joint operation across the Northern and Central Policing Divisions on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The intelligence-driven operation, which involved multiple law enforcement units, resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of illicit drugs in key communities including La Clery, Babonneau, and Marchand.

The operation was spearheaded by officers from the Special Operations Team, Traffic Enforcement Team, Criminal Investigations Department, Special Services Unit, and Bicycle Patrol Team, all working collaboratively to target areas notorious for criminal activity. The coordinated efforts of these units underline the RSLPF’s commitment to addressing Saint Lucia’s crime crisis under the leadership of Commissioner Verne Garde, who recently reinforced the need for a multidimensional approach to crime prevention.
