Investigation Underway After Belair Shooting Victim Identified in Saint Lucia’s 75th Homicide Case
New Belair, Marigot – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched a homicide investigation after the Belair Shooting Victim Identified as 27-year-old Stephan Eudovique, also known as “Tall Boy.” Eudovique sustained a gunshot wound during an alleged goods vehicle robbery in Belair, Castries, on December 10, 2024, and later succumbed to his injuries. His death has brought Saint Lucia’s homicide tally for the year to 75, further heightening public concerns over escalating violent crime.
According to the RSLPF, officers attached to the Marigot Police Station responded to reports of a shooting in New Belair, Marigot, at approximately 4:20 p.m. Upon arrival, personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service were already on the scene, attending to Eudovique, who was a passenger in the goods vehicle targeted during the alleged robbery.
Emergency responders transported him to the Owen King European (OKEU) Hospital via ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.

This incident has intensified concerns over the escalating violent crime rates in Saint Lucia, especially during the festive season.
