MICOUD, St Lucia — Police have launched an investigation after a body discovered on Canelles Beach in Micoud on Monday morning was found in a partially decomposed state. Officers attached to the Micoud Police Station responded to reports around 9:30 a.m. and found the remains of an adult male on the shoreline.
The individual has not yet been identified. Initial observations indicated the body bore visible lacerations, and a medical practitioner pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has confirmed that investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Officials have not stated how long the body may have been at the location, and no official cause of death has been established. A post-mortem examination is expected to provide further clarity.
