Five Cabot Courses Earn Spots on Golfweek’s Prestigious 2025 Top 100 International List

CASTRIES, St Lucia (April 25, 2025) — Cabot St Lucia debuts in Golfweek Top 5 for Point Hardy Golf Club, as the acclaimed course earns the No. 5 position on Golfweek’s 2025 Top 100 International Courses list. This recognition, part of a broader sweep that saw five Cabot properties featured, cements Cabot’s status as a leading force in global luxury golf destinations and brings new international attention to St Lucia’s growing golf tourism market.

Toronto-based Cabot, a developer and operator of luxury resort and residential golf destinations, announced the achievement following the publication of Golfweek’s esteemed annual ranking. The 2025 list, determined by over 800 expert raters, spotlights the world’s top courses outside the United States, with a focus on design, playability, and unique settings.

Cabot’s Worldwide Courses Recognized

Along with the Cabot St Lucia debut in Golfweek’s Top 5, Cabot courses earned recognition at several international locations:

  • No. 5: Point Hardy Golf Club | Cap Estate, Saint Lucia | Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, 2023
  • No. 12: Cabot Cliffs | Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada | Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw, 2015
  • No. 45 (tie): Cabot Links | Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada | Rod Whitman, 2012
  • No. 54: Castle Stuart Golf Links | Inverness, Scotland | Gil Hanse, Mark Parsinen, 2009
  • No. 89 (tie): Lofoten Links | Gimsøysand, Norway | Jeremy Turner, 2015

Point Hardy Golf Club, crafted by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, debuted as the highest-ranking new entrant on Golfweek’s list. Lofoten Links, the world’s northernmost links-style golf course, was also recognized for the first time, following Cabot’s strategic investment in September 2024.

International Spotlight on St Lucia Golf

The debut of Cabot St Lucia in Golfweek’s Top 5 signals a milestone for the island’s golf and tourism sector. The course’s dramatic coastal design, set on the Cap Estate, has drawn acclaim from the global golf community for both its challenging play and breathtaking views.

“We are incredibly honoured to see five Cabot courses recognized by Golfweek among the world’s best,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. “Creating extraordinary golf experiences has always been at the core of what we do, and it is deeply rewarding to see our courses making a lasting impact on golfers worldwide.”

Cabot’s Expansion and Future Developments

This success comes amid Cabot’s ongoing global expansion. In early 2025, the company opened Cabot Citrus Farms, its first U.S. property, earning praise for its two revitalized 18-hole golf courses, including “Karoo,” named Best New Public Course by Sports Illustrated. Cabot Citrus Farms also features two unique shorter courses, luxury real estate, and a wide range of amenities.

Cabot’s international ambitions continue with the upcoming preview play for Old Petty at Cabot Highlands in Scotland in August 2025, a new design by renowned architect Tom Doak. In France, Cabot Bordeaux is being transformed into a top destination for golf and wine enthusiasts. Looking ahead to 2027, Cabot will launch its first mountain property in British Columbia, Cabot Revelstoke, offering public access to the new Cabot Pacific course designed by Rod Whitman.

Golfweek’s Esteemed Process

Golfweek’s Top 100 International Courses list is widely regarded for its thorough assessment, with more than 800 expert raters evaluating each course on design, memorability, and experience. The strong showing by Cabot St Lucia highlights the island’s emergence as a premier destination for discerning golfers and travelers.

Industry experts say the latest honors will further drive interest in St Lucia golf, supporting the island’s position among the top Caribbean and international golf markets.
