Victim of Dennery Highway crash identified as Vincent Victor; investigations into the incident continue.
Dennery, St Lucia — The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has identified Vincent Victor, also known as “3D,” of La Pointe, Dennery, as the victim of Tuesday’s Dennery Highway crash, which claimed one life and involved several others.
The tragic accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. along the Castries/Dennery Highway. Vincent Victor was one of five individuals caught in the Dennery Highway crash, which involved a truck reportedly striking workers engaged in a roadside debushing exercise under the government’s STEP (Short Term Employment Program).
Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene, but Victor was pronounced dead. The condition of the other individuals remains unclear, and medical personnel are continuing to provide care and assess the situation.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has confirmed that a post-mortem examination will be conducted at a later date to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
