Dennery, St Lucia — The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has identified Vincent Victor, also known as “3D,” of La Pointe, Dennery, as the man who died in Tuesday’s Dennery Highway crash, which claimed one life and involved several others.

The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. along the Castries-Dennery Highway. Victor was among five individuals involved when a truck reportedly struck workers engaged in a roadside debushing exercise under the government’s STEP (Short Term Employment Program).
Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene, but Victor was pronounced dead. The condition of the other individuals has not been disclosed.

Police said five people were involved in the incident, though authorities have not yet released the identities or medical status of the surviving individuals.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled for a later date to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash remain ongoing.
