CASTRIES, St Lucia — The Givanni Andrew Joseph murder probe has widened, with police formally charging two additional men in the fatal shooting of the 25-year-old, bringing the total number of suspects before the court to three.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said 23-year-old Sanjay Papius and 25-year-old Mayim King were charged with murder on March 27 following investigations by the Major Crimes Unit. Both men have been remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.

Police confirmed that a third individual, 20-year-old Vonelle Degazon, had previously been charged in connection with the same incident on March 6. He also remains on remand at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.

Givanni Andrew Joseph, also known as “Zuzu,” was fatally shot on Feb. 21 in Ciceron. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the killing as the matter proceeds through the courts.
Firearms seizure linked to suspects in ongoing investigation
Investigators said Papius and King had initially been charged in an earlier firearm bust in Gros Islet before the murder charges were laid.
According to police, the two men were occupants of a vehicle intercepted by officers in Gros Islet on March 23. A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the seizure of two firearms, 18 rounds of .40 calibre ammunition, 46 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and an extended magazine.
They were subsequently charged with two counts of possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of ammunition, and one count of possession of a component part of a firearm.
The additional murder charges mark a significant development in the Givanni Andrew Joseph murder probe, as authorities continue efforts to address gun-related violence and advance the case through the courts.
All three accused remain in custody as the judicial process moves forward, with further proceedings expected as the investigation continues.
