Police investigate Morne Du Don gun attack that left one man injured
CASTRIES, St Lucia — The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is investigating a Morne Du Don gun attack on Sunday evening that left one man injured, the second shooting in Castries within the same day.
Law enforcement said the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed. Officers secured the scene and gathered evidence as part of ongoing inquiries.
Earlier on Sunday, a separate shooting in Castries took place in New Village, where two people were wounded in what police described as a drive-by attack. That incident happened shortly after 9 a.m., when gunmen opened fire from a moving vehicle before leaving the area.
Police have not stated whether the two incidents are connected. Both matters remain under active investigation.
