Police Seek Leads in Saint Lucia First Homicide 2025: Barre Denis Shooting Claims Young Life
Castries, Saint Lucia – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has launched an investigation into Saint Lucia’s first reported homicide for 2025, which occurred on the night of Thursday, January 9.
According to Saint Lucia law enforcement, officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 9:20 p.m. in Barre Denis, Castries. Upon arrival, they discovered that 22-year-old Gabriel Junior Henry had sustained apparent gunshot injuries. Barre Denis, a residential area on the outskirts of Castries, became the scene of this tragic event.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Henry was sitting on his verandah when he came under attack. He was rushed to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have appealed to the public for assistance in solving this case.
