BARRE DENIS, St Lucia (May 24, 2025) – Two individuals were hospitalized Saturday morning after a vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a residential home in Barre Denis, sparking alarm across the quiet coastal community.
Emergency officials from the Saint Lucia Fire Service and Royal Saint Lucia Police Force responded swiftly to the incident, which occurred shortly after 9 a.m. near a residential stretch along the community’s main access road.
Preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle lost control before plunging into the lower level of a home, resulting in significant structural damage and injuries to two occupants.

Officials at the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) have not yet confirmed the identities of the injured parties, and it remains unclear whether they were occupants of the vehicle or residents of the affected home at the time of the crash.
Community members gathered near the scene, expressing shock at the rare and harrowing incident. “You don’t expect to wake up to something like this,” said one nearby resident. “It’s a miracle no one was killed.”
