Tevin Belasco pilots American Airlines’ historic return to UVF, marking a proud milestone for St. Lucia.

HEWANORRA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ST. LUCIA – Tevin Belasco, a proud son of St. Lucia, is set to make history this Saturday, December 7, 2024, as he commands American Airlines Flight 3076 from New York’s JFK Airport to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). This marks a monumental achievement in Belasco’s nine-year career as a pilot and a deeply personal homecoming to the island where his passion for aviation first took flight.

In a heartfelt post on his Facebook page, Tevin Belasco shared his excitement about the upcoming milestone. “I am elated to announce that after nine years of being a pilot, I will be operating the American Airlines reintroduction flight 3076 from New York JFK to St. Lucia UVF,” he wrote. “This will be my first time operating a flight to my island home since becoming a pilot. To work this flight to the place where my passion for aviation started is a great honor. This is truly a dream come true.”

A Personal and National Milestone

For Tevin Belasco, the journey is a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and passion for aviation. His story resonates with many in St. Lucia, as he symbolizes the success and potential of the island’s people on the global stage.

Belasco’s achievement also coincides with American Airlines’ reintroduction of its direct service from New York to St. Lucia, a critical connection for both tourism and business travel. The resumption of American Airlines Flight 3076 highlights the airline’s renewed commitment to the Caribbean destination, which remains a favorite for travelers worldwide.

St. Lucia’s Tourism and Aviation

The return of the JFK-UVF route is a welcome boost for St. Lucia’s tourism sector, which is the island’s largest economic driver. American Airlines’ presence strengthens the island’s accessibility to U.S. markets, particularly during the peak winter travel season.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Belasco’s journey is more than a professional milestone—it’s a source of inspiration for aspiring aviators across the Caribbean. His achievement showcases the possibilities for those who dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.
