Dressed up as a defense of the Philip J. Unsustainable giveaways sold as “progress”

The UWP, in contrast, prioritized educational reform and infrastructure investments aimed at long-term improvement.
Gimmicks over governance
Fernelon bemoans the cancellation of public spectacles like the Baton Relay and scaled-back versions of the Jazz Festival, conveniently ignoring the far larger economic and social failures under SLP rule. The UWP had moved Saint Lucia towards meaningful investment partnerships, infrastructure modernization, and tourism diversification to strengthen the island’s economic foundation.
Unlike the misleading narrative pushed by SLP loyalists, the GPH port contract exposed serious concerns for Saint Lucia, raising questions about transparency, national interests, and foreign control. Unable to defend SLP’s crumbling record, he accuses the UWP of campaigning on “racism, hate, and desperation.” This tired playbook of division and fearmongering is all the Pierre administration has left to offer Saint Lucians who are increasingly disillusioned with broken promises and daily struggles under SLP leadership.
While the SLP points fingers, UWP remains focused on delivering stable leadership, attracting foreign investment, restoring economic confidence, and implementing real policies that will lift all Saint Lucians, not just the politically connected few.
Saint Lucia deserves better
The record is clear: while the SLP engages in shameless overcooked propaganda, the UWP offers a path forward based on economic growth, stability, and opportunity. The people of Saint Lucia deserve more than hollow slogans and short-term vote-buying schemes. They deserve real leadership.
As Saint Lucians head to the polls, voters will have a clear choice: remain trapped under unsustainable handouts and rising debt, or choose the UWP’s proven record of economic competence, job creation, and national development.
