CASTRIES, St Lucia — A Morne Du Don shooting has left a 35-year-old woman hospitalized after she was grazed by a bullet during an incident in the Black Stars area, authorities confirmed.
Heidi Dujon sustained an injury to the left side of her head when gunfire erupted. The wound has been classified as non-life-threatening, but she remains under medical observation at hospital.
Officials have not released details on what led to the Morne Du Don shooting, and it remains unclear whether the incident was targeted or if others were involved.

Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the shooting unfolded and to identify those responsible.

It also follows other violent incidents in the same community, including a recent case in which a hotel worker was shot in Morne Du Don, and an earlier Morne Du Don stabbing left one man dead in Castries.
