According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, officers from the Soufriere Police Station responded to a call at approximately 7:28 p.m. Upon arrival, they learned that Monrose, a resident of Palmiste, Soufriere, had been shot.
Monrose was transported to the Soufriere Hospital by private means for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries. A medical practitioner at the facility later pronounced him dead.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a deadly ambush in Marc, where 22-year-old Emen Emmanuel was fatally shot, and his female companion was critically injured.
