Gunfire and chaos unfold as Conway man shot in Anse Ger attack
DESRUISSEAUX, St Lucia (June 25, 2025) — A Conway man is recovering in hospital following a terrifying series of events Tuesday night that began with a shooting in Anse Ger and ended in a vehicle crash in Desruisseaux while he was being rushed for medical treatment.
Initial reports indicate the man was shot in the hand while in Anse Ger, located in the Micoud district. In a desperate effort to get him medical attention, individuals placed him in a private vehicle and began transporting him toward St Jude Hospital.
However, during the drive, the situation escalated.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the vehicle carrying the victim was reportedly pursued by gunmen in another car. Gunfire was said to have been exchanged during the chase. The vehicle transporting the injured man ultimately lost control and overturned in Desruisseaux, resulting in further injuries.
Emergency responders arrived at the crash scene and assisted in transferring the victim to St Jude Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Authorities have launched investigations into both the Anse Ger shooting and the circumstances of the Desruisseaux crash. No official statements have been released regarding potential suspects, and it remains unclear whether the incidents are gang-related or connected to a personal dispute.
