Police confirm fatal stabbing in Dennery Village occurred around 4:30 a.m.
DENNERY, St Lucia — The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is investigating a fatal stabbing in Dennery Village that occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a male individual.
According to information provided by law enforcement, the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. Reports indicate that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds during an altercation with another male individual. Emergency responders transported the injured man to hospital by ambulance, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. Police subsequently classified the incident as a homicide.
The killing adds to a growing list of violent incidents reported across the island in recent weeks. In separate cases, police are also investigating a Choiseul man fatally shot in Soufriere and the second man shot dead in Palmiste, Soufriere, both of which remain under active investigation.
Authorities confirmed that the Dennery stabbing brings St Lucia’s homicide count for 2025 to 84. Police have not disclosed whether any arrests have been made in connection with the latest incident and said no further details are available at this time.
