VIEUX FORT, St Lucia — The Pigeon Point shooting suspect wanted in connection with the 2024 fatal shooting of 21-year-old Nke St. Ville has been captured during an early morning police operation in Vieux Fort, according to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force. Officers said 27-year-old Dan Decuoine Phillip was arrested about 4 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lane.
Police said Phillip had been evading arrest since a Warrant of Arrest in the First Instance was issued on Nov. 5, 2024, in connection with the Sept. 8, 2024, Pigeon Point shooting that claimed the life of 21-year-old Nke St. Ville. Two other individuals were also arrested during the operation, and charges related to harbouring the suspect are expected to be preferred in the coming days.
What We Know
Police say the suspect was apprehended during a joint operation involving the Gangs, Narcotics and Firearms Unit (South) and the Tactical Response Unit (South).
Two additional arrests were made during the same operation.
The RSLPF has publicly thanked members of the public for their assistance in the arrest.
What We Don’t Know
Police have not released further details about the two other individuals arrested.
Officials have not said when Phillip is expected to appear in court.
The nature of any charges Phillip will face has not been announced.
