CASTRIES, St Lucia — Police have identified 48-year-old Lucus Edwin of Belair, Castries, as the victim in the fatal Millet shooting, delivering the first major confirmed update in a case now recorded as St Lucia’s 24th homicide of 2026.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force said officers attached to the Anse La Raye Police Station responded to a report of a shooting about 3:57 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2026. Initial reports indicated that one person had sustained gunshot injuries.
Police said officers were later informed that the body of the male victim had been discovered along the Durandeau Highway. Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service attended the scene, and a medical practitioner later pronounced Edwin dead there.
The case was first reported in our earlier report on the Millet shooting before authorities released the victim’s identity. The latest police update confirms the deceased as Lucus Edwin, 48, of Belair.
