Choiseul-Saltibus MP Bradly Felix described the machete attack as both “horrible” and “very unfortunate,” revealing that the suspect, who allegedly had a connection to someone in the household, entered the home in a state of rage and indiscriminately attacked those inside. Felix expressed relief that there were no fatalities and praised the swift action of community members who subdued the assailant before he was taken into police custody.
In a Facebook post addressing the incident, Felix urged the community to rally behind the victims, calling for healing and non-violent solutions to conflicts.
“This is not the kind of news we ever wish to wake up to, especially when it hits so close to home. Let us all take a moment to pray for the family in Industry, Choiseul, who were viciously attacked in the sanctity of their home. We pray that their injuries are not life-threatening or crippling and that their recovery—mind, body, and spirit—will be swift.”
