MIAMI, United States — U.S. Southern Command said a U.S. strike in Caribbean waters on April 19 killed three male suspects after Joint Task Force Southern Spear targeted a vessel operating along known narco-trafficking routes. The operation was conducted at the direction of SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, according to the command’s statement.
Southern Command described the action as a “lethal kinetic strike” and said no U.S. military personnel were harmed. The operation follows other recent U.S. actions in the region, including a prior report in the Eastern Pacific where three were killed in a separate strike. The exact location of the latest operation and the identities of those killed were not immediately available.
This is a developing story. The report will be updated as confirmed information becomes available.
